2008/2009 HIA Award Winner: Surrey Hills Project
As you can imagine, the journey to a HIA Award involved a lot of planning and careful coordination between designers and the various trades. Below is a short photo journal of this award winning renovation.
Surrey Hills Project: Before
When the owners of this Surrey Hills home approached us, their original proposal was to knock down and build a new home from scratch.
Surrey Hills Project: Stripped Down to the Shell
After consultation with our architects and designers, our team was able to propose to the owners that a more cost effective and environmentally responsible option was to strip their original home and reuse the shell as the foundation of their new home.
Surrey Hills Project: Rebuilding from the Shell
To save costs and reduce waste from this project, materials from the original house were reused. Additional cost savings were achieved by placing new utility and services points in the same locations as they were in the original.
Surrey Hills Project: After
Our clients are delighted with the award winning result and are continuing their partnership with Brutal Art Design + Build with their latest property venture – a unique two unit development in Cheltenham.
