What is our Twitter account?

Our official corporate Twitter username is @brutalart

We can be found on Twitter at: http://twitter.com/brutalart

What is the purpose of our Twitter account?

Our Twitter account serves a number of purposes:

  • To listen to and take part in the global conversation within the Design + Build context
  • To connect with likeminded individuals and organisations
  • To get feedback on products & services that we offer
  • To provide updates on projects that we are working on
  • To occasionally promote our products, services or blog posts

Who will we follow?

We are looking to connect with a community of likeminded individuals and organisations within the global Design + Build niche.

We are not interested in having the largest Twitter following as possible since we are real people who actually do read the tweets of those we follow.

We will follow you if you tweet primarily about Design + Build related matters. We will not automatically follow you simply because you follow us. Before choosing to follow you, we manually review your last few tweets.

If we follow you, you can be sure we will actually pay attention to what you tweet.

In time, our Twitter Following list is intended to be a valuable resource visible to anybody wanting to connect with others in the global Design + Build niche. As such we will continually refine this list as is necessary.

If you’re on our “Following” list: Congratulations! We believe you are someone who is adding value to us, our clients and our followers.

Conversely, we will unfollow you if the majority of your tweets are unrelated to Design + Build matters.

We respect your right to unfollow us at anytime.

We are also open to your suggestions of relevant Design + Build related people/organisations to follow.

Who tweets for us?

At the time of writing this policy, we are trying to keep things simple and only use the one Twitter account for our organisation.

This of course means that different team members will send tweets related to their area of expertise from the one Twitter account.

How often will we tweet?

We aim to not send more than five tweets per day as we don’t want to clog your Twitter stream. Occasionally we may exceed this.

How do you respond to Direct Messages or Replies?

We will endeavour to respond to genuine Direct Messages and Replies (as distinct from Autoresponders) within 1 business day.

SPAMs and advertisements will be ignored and almost certainly mean you will be unfollowed.

What will we retweet?

As stated earlier, one of our purposes in utilising our Twitter account is to actively listen and take part in the global conversation within the Design + Build context.

We will regularly retweet things we are not affiliated with, because we find the content interesting and trust that you might too.

We reserve the right to review our Twitter policy at any time and welcome your feedback of your experiences of connecting with us on Twitter.
